VESSEL RETURN POLICY

Meltdowns & Mimosas – Vessel Return Policy

To stay sustainability-focused, we offer an incentive for customers who return used candle vessels for credit towards a new candle purchase.

Eligibility

Customers may receive a discount on a new candle when returning a used candle vessel.

Returned vessels must be made entirely of glass.

The glass vessel must be heat-safe and suitable for candle use (able to safely withstand candle-burning temperatures).

Condition Requirements

Vessels must be clean and free of wax residue, soot, or debris.

Vessels must be free from cracks, chips, or structural damage.

We reserve the right to decline any vessel that does not meet safety or quality standards.

Discount Details

The discount amount* will be applied per eligible vessel returned.

Discounts are valid only toward the purchase of a new candle.

Discounts have no cash value and may not be combined with other promotions unless stated otherwise.

Additional Terms

Returned vessels become the property of MM COLLECTIVE LLC and will be reused, refilled, or recycled at our discretion.

This program may be modified or discontinued at any time without prior notice.

SHIPPING POLICY

Meltdowns & Mimosas Shipping Policy

Thank you for supporting our small-batch candle studio. To ensure transparency and a smooth ordering experience, please review our shipping policy below.

1. Processing Times

All candles are poured, cured, and packaged by hand. Standard processing times are:

  • 3–7 business days for ready-made items
  • 5–10 business days for custom-made or made-to-order candles
  • Processing times may be longer during holidays, new product launches, or high-volume events.

Processing time does not include transit time.

2. Shipping Methods & Rates

We currently ship within the United States using carriers such as USPS, UPS, or FedEx.

  • Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight, distance, and carrier rates.
  • Free shipping promotions may apply when available.
  • Local pickup or delivery options may be offered depending on location and availability.

3. Order Tracking

Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number.

  • Please allow up to 24–48 hours for tracking information to update.
  • Meltdowns & Mimosas is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier.

4. Warm Weather & Heat Protection

Because candles can soften or melt in high temperatures:

  • Orders may ship early in the week to reduce weekend carrier storage.
  • Heat packs or insulated packaging may be used during warmer months when necessary.
  • Customers are responsible for retrieving packages promptly after delivery.

We are not responsible for melting due to prolonged exposure in mailboxes, porches, or direct sunlight.

5. Lost, Delayed, or Stolen Packages

Once an order is marked delivered by the carrier, it is considered complete.
For issues:

  • Lost packages: Contact the carrier first; we will assist as much as possible.
  • Delayed packages: Transit times are estimates and not guaranteed.
  • Stolen packages: File a claim directly with the carrier or local authorities.

Meltdowns & Mimosas is not responsible for refunding or replacing orders stolen after delivery.

6. Incorrect Addresses

Customers are responsible for entering accurate shipping information at checkout.

  • If a package is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the customer will be responsible for reshipment fees.
  • If the order is not returned to us, we cannot provide a replacement or refund.

7. Damaged Items

If your candle arrives damaged (e.g., cracked vessel, broken lid):

  1. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide photos of the product and packaging.
  3. We will issue a replacement or store credit as appropriate.

Minor cosmetic issues (e.g., frosting, small air bubbles, or wax discoloration) are normal for handmade candles and do not qualify as damage.

8. International Shipping

At this time, we do not offer international shipping.

9. Holiday Shipping

Due to high seasonal volume, shipping carriers may experience delays.

  • Order early to ensure timely delivery.
  • Holiday order cut-off dates will be posted on our website and social channels.

HANDMADE ITEM POLICY

Meltdowns & Mimosas – Handmade Item Policy

At Meltdowns & Mimosas, each candle is hand-poured in small batches to ensure quality, consistency, and a personal touch. Because of this handcrafted process, slight variations may occur. This policy outlines what customers can expect when purchasing our handmade items.

1. Handmade Nature & Variations

Due to the artisanal, small-batch production of our candles:

  • Minor differences in color tones, swirl patterns, texture, or fill levels may appear.
  • Natural frosting or spotting may occur on soy or soy-blend candles—this is normal and does not affect burn quality.
  • No two candles are identical, which is part of the handcrafted charm.

2. Quality & Safety

We prioritize safety and quality in every batch:

  • All candles are made with high-quality wax, clean fragrance oils, and lead-free cotton or wood wicks.
  • Each candle undergoes testing for scent performance, burn consistency, and wick safety.
  • Safety instructions and warning labels are included with every product.

3. Custom & Made-to-Order Items

  • Custom fragrances, labels, colors, or vessel selections are made specifically for the customer and may require extended processing times.
  • All custom or personalized orders are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • We reserve the right to decline custom orders that cannot be produced safely or to our quality standards.

4. Imperfections & Acceptable Variations

Because items are handcrafted, the following are considered normal and not defects:

  • Slight wax frosting or texturing
  • Tiny air bubbles
  • Wick placement that may not be perfectly centered but does not affect burn
  • Color variation due to natural pigments or fragrance
  • Minor label alignment differences due to manual application

If an item arrives damaged (e.g., cracked vessel, broken lid), this is not considered a handmade variation—please refer to our Return Policy.

5. Returns & Exchanges for Handmade Items

  • Returns/exchanges may be accepted for unused, unlit candles that remain in original condition based on our discretion.
  • Used candles cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Custom candles, clearance items, and limited-run seasonal batches are non-refundable.
  • If you believe your item has a defect impacting performance (e.g., tunneling, wick malfunction), contact us within 2 days of delivery for assessment.

6. Allergies & Sensitivities

  • All fragrance oils are clean, phthalate-free, and safety-tested.
  • Customers with known sensitivities should review each product’s scent description before purchasing.
  • We are not responsible for allergic reactions or scent sensitivity issues once a candle has been used.

7. Care & Use Disclaimer

Proper candle care is essential for safety and performance.
The customer is responsible for:

  • Trimming the wick before each burn
  • Burning candles on heat-resistant surfaces
  • Never leaving a candle unattended
  • Keeping candles away from children, pets, and flammable materials
  • Following all included burn instructions

We are not liable for damage or injury resulting from misuse or failure to follow candle safety guidelines.

8. Intellectual Property & Design Ownership

All candle names, scent blends, vessel selections, labels, and packaging designs are the creative property of Meltdowns & Mimosas/MM Collective LLC. Duplication or reproduction without written permission is prohibited.
